[81] Bhikkhus, as to those ascetics and brahmins who are proponents of fortuitous origination (adhiccasamuppannikā) and who declare, on two grounds, that the self and the world arose fortuitously — that they should experience that apart from contact (phassa): such a thing is impossible.
