[89] Bhikkhus, as for those ascetics and brahmins who are theorizers about the past (pubbantakappikā), theorizers about the future (aparantakappikā), and theorizers about both the past and the future, who hold views concerning the past and the future and who, with reference to the past and the future, assert various propositions of conviction (adhimuttipadāni) on sixty-two grounds — that they should indeed experience these things apart from contact (phassa): such a possibility does not exist.
