Vinayapiṭaka · Bhikkhu Vibhaṅga (1) · Vol. 1 · Section 283

[283] Now at that time a certain bhikkhu, out of overestimation (adhimāna), declared final knowledge (aññā). He became remorseful, thinking: "A training rule (sikkhāpada) has been laid down by the Blessed One. Could it be that I have committed an offense (āpatti) of pārājika?" Then that bhikkhu reported this matter to the Blessed One. "Bhikkhu, there is no offense for one who acts out of overestimation."
