SaṅghādisesakaṇḍaSaṅghādisessikkhāpada

[576] "Pretext consisting of an offence (āpattilesa)" means: he has been seen committing a light offence. If one charges him on account of that with a pārājika offence, saying, "I saw you — you have committed a pārājika offence; you are not an ascetic, you are not a son of the Sakyans … or act of the Saṅgha [in common with you]," there is an offence of saṅghādisesa for each and every utterance.
