[587] A bhikkhu is seen committing a saṅghādisesa offence; regarding the saṅghādisesa he holds the view that it is a saṅghādisesa. If he charges him with a pārājika, saying, "You are not an ascetic, you are not a son of the Sakyan; there is no Uposatha, or Pavāraṇā, or act of the Saṅgha in common with you"—thus too the case is connected with an offence of another category, and a mere pretext has been seized upon: there is an offence of saṅghādisesa for each utterance.
A bhikkhu is seen committing a saṅghādisesa offence; regarding the saṅghādisesa he holds the view that it is a thullaccaya. If he charges him with a pārājika, saying, "You are not an ascetic … or act of the Saṅgha"—thus too the case is connected with an offence of another category, and a pretext has been seized upon: there is an offence of saṅghādisesa for each utterance.

If he charges him with a pārājika, saying, "You are not an ascetic … or act of the Saṅgha"—thus too the case is connected with an offence of another category, and a pretext has been seized upon: there is an offence of saṅghādisesa for each utterance.
