[761] "But if, Puṇṇa, the people of Sunāparanta strike you with a knife, what will you think of them then?"
"Venerable sir, if the people of Sunāparanta strike me with a knife, I shall think thus: 'Good indeed are these people of Sunāparanta, truly good indeed are these people of Sunāparanta, in that they do not deprive me of life with a sharp knife.' That is what I shall think in that case, Blessed One; that is what I shall think in that case, Sublime One (Sugata)."
