"Bhikkhus, it is by way of elements (dhātu) that beings flow together and come together: those who destroy life (pāṇātipātī) flow together and come together with those who destroy life; those who take what is not given (adinnādāyī) flow together and come together with those who take what is not given; those who engage in sexual misconduct (kāmesumicchācārī) flow together and come together with those who engage in sexual misconduct; those who speak falsely (musāvādī) flow together and come together with those who speak falsely; those of divisive speech (pisuṇavācā) flow together and come together with those of divisive speech; those of harsh speech (pharusavācā) flow together and come together with those of harsh speech; those who indulge in idle chatter (samphappalāpī) flow together and come together with those who indulge in idle chatter."
