[372] When the Venerable Rādha had sat down to one side, the Blessed One said this to him: "Rādha, there are these five aggregates subject to clinging (upādānakkhandhā). Which five? Namely: the form aggregate subject to clinging, the feeling (vedanā) aggregate subject to clinging, the perception aggregate subject to clinging, the volitional formations aggregate subject to clinging, the consciousness aggregate subject to clinging. Rādha, whatever ascetics or brahmins do not understand as it really is the origin, the passing away, the gratification, the danger, and the escape in the case of these five aggregates subject to clinging … having realized it for themselves with direct knowledge (abhiññā), in this very life they enter upon and dwell in it."
