[716] And what, bhikkhus, is the path leading to the unconditioned (asaṅkhata)? Here, bhikkhus, a bhikkhu develops the factor of awakening (bojjhaṅga) of investigation of dhammas … develops the factor of awakening of energy … develops the factor of awakening of rapture … develops the factor of awakening of tranquility … develops the factor of awakening of concentration (samādhi) … develops the factor of awakening of equanimity, dependent on seclusion (viveka), dependent on dispassion (virāga), dependent on cessation, maturing in relinquishment (vossagga). This, bhikkhus, is called the path leading to the unconditioned.
