[157] "And how, bhikkhus, does a bhikkhu who has a good friend (kalyāṇamitta) develop the Noble Eightfold Path (ariya aṭṭhaṅgika magga) and make much of the Noble Eightfold Path? Here, bhikkhus, a bhikkhu develops right view (sammādiṭṭhi), which has as its culmination the removal of lust (rāga), the removal of hatred, the removal of delusion … he develops right concentration (sammāsamādhi), which has as its culmination the removal of lust, the removal of hatred, the removal of delusion. It is in this way, bhikkhus, that a bhikkhu who has a good friend develops the Noble Eightfold Path and makes much of the Noble Eightfold Path."
