[301] Bhikkhus, for the direct knowledge (abhiññā) of these three searches (esanā), the Noble Eightfold Path should be developed. And what is the Noble Eightfold Path? Here, bhikkhus, a bhikkhu develops right view (sammādiṭṭhi) … develops right concentration (sammāsamādhi), which has as its final goal the removal of lust (rāga), which has as its final goal the removal of hatred, which has as its final goal the removal of delusion. Bhikkhus, for the direct knowledge of these three searches, this Noble Eightfold Path should be developed.
