[312] Bhikkhus, for the abandoning of these three searches (esanā), the Noble Eightfold Path (ariya aṭṭhaṅgika magga) should be developed. And what is the Noble Eightfold Path? Here, bhikkhus, a bhikkhu develops right view (sammādiṭṭhi) … develops right concentration (sammāsamādhi), dependent on seclusion (viveka), dependent on dispassion (virāga), dependent on cessation, maturing in relinquishment (vossagga). For the abandoning of these three searches, bhikkhus, this Noble Eightfold Path should be developed.
