[299] "Bhikkhus, for the direct knowledge (abhiññā) of these three searches (esanā), the Noble Eightfold Path (ariya aṭṭhaṅgika magga) is to be developed. And what is the Noble Eightfold Path? Here, bhikkhus, a bhikkhu develops right view (sammādiṭṭhi) dependent on seclusion (viveka) … he develops right concentration (samādhi) dependent on seclusion, dependent on dispassion (virāga), dependent on cessation, maturing in relinquishment (vossagga). Bhikkhus, for the direct knowledge of these three searches, this Noble Eightfold Path is to be developed."
