[215] "And how, bhikkhus, does a bhikkhu, developing the Noble Eightfold Path (ariya aṭṭhaṅgika magga), cultivating the Noble Eightfold Path, come to slant toward Nibbāna, slope toward Nibbāna, incline toward Nibbāna? Here, bhikkhus, a bhikkhu develops right view (sammādiṭṭhi), which plunges into the Deathless (amata), has the Deathless as its destination, has the Deathless as its final end … he develops right concentration (sammāsamādhi), which plunges into the Deathless, has the Deathless as its destination, has the Deathless as its final end. It is in this way, bhikkhus, that a bhikkhu, developing the Noble Eightfold Path, cultivating the Noble Eightfold Path, slants toward Nibbāna, slopes toward Nibbāna, inclines toward Nibbāna."
