Pariññātasutta

Suttapiṭaka · Saṁyuttanikāya · Mahāvaggasaṁyutta · Vol. 19 · Section 810

[810] Bhikkhus, there are these four establishments of mindfulness (satipaṭṭhāna). What four? Here, bhikkhus, a bhikkhu dwells contemplating the body in the body, ardent, clearly comprehending, mindful, having removed covetousness and grief regarding the world. As he dwells contemplating the body in the body, the body becomes fully understood (pariññāta); because the body has been fully understood, the Deathless (amata) is realized.
