[842] "Bhikkhus, for the direct knowledge (abhiññā), for the full understanding (pariññā), for the utter destruction, and for the abandoning of these five higher fetters (uddhambhāgiyāni saṃyojanāni), the four establishments of mindfulness (satipaṭṭhāna) are to be developed. What four? Here, bhikkhus, a bhikkhu dwells contemplating the body in the body, ardent, clearly comprehending, mindful, having removed covetousness and grief regarding the world. He dwells contemplating … in feelings (vedanā) … in the mind (citta) … dhammas in dhammas, ardent, clearly comprehending, mindful, having removed covetousness and grief regarding the world. Bhikkhus, for the direct knowledge, for the full understanding, for the utter destruction, and for the abandoning of these five higher fetters, these four establishments of mindfulness are to be developed."
(As the Magga-saṃyutta was expanded, so should the Satipaṭṭhāna-saṃyutta be expanded.)

The Satipaṭṭhāna-saṃyutta is finished.
