[994] Bhikkhus, it is because these two faculties (indriya) have been developed and cultivated that a bhikkhu whose taints (āsava) are destroyed declares final knowledge (aññā): "I understand: 'Destroyed is birth, the holy life has been lived, what had to be done has been done, there is no more of this state of being.'"
