[1006] "Bhikkhus, it is because of the developing and cultivating of three faculties (indriya) that the bhikkhu Piṇḍolabhāradvāja has declared final knowledge (aññā): 'I understand: Birth is destroyed, the holy life has been lived, what had to be done has been done, there is no more coming to this state of being.'"
