Vinayapiṭaka · Bhikkhu Vibhaṅga (2) · Vol. 2 · Section 123

[123] Then that bhikkhu should approach a certain bhikkhu, arrange his upper robe (uttarāsaṅga) over one shoulder, squat down on his heels, raise his joined palms in reverence (añjali), and say to him thus: "Friend, this bowl of mine has passed beyond ten days and is subject to forfeiture (nissaggiya). I forfeit it to the venerable one." Having forfeited it, the offence should be confessed. The offence should be acknowledged by that bhikkhu. The forfeited bowl should be given back, with the words: "I give this bowl to the venerable one."
