[465] There is no offense (anāpatti): when [the almsfood] was already initiated by householders (gihisamārambha); when a probationer (sikkhamānā) prompts [the giving]; when a female novice (sāmaṇerī) prompts [the giving]; setting aside the five foods (pañca bhojanāni), in every case there is no offense; for one who is insane; for the first offender (ādikammika).
