[696] **"Whosoever":** whoever, of whatever sort … **"Bhikkhu":** … this is the **bhikkhu** intended in this sense. **"To a bhikkhu":** to another bhikkhu. **"Angry, displeased":** dissatisfied, with a stricken mind (citta), having become hard-hearted. **"Should give a blow":** he gives a blow with the body, or with something connected to the body, or with something released [thrown] — even, at the very least, with a lotus leaf — he commits an offense of pācittiya.
