[8] There is no offense: if within ten days he determines it (adhiṭṭheti), assigns it in shared ownership (vikappeti), or relinquishes it; if it is lost; if it is destroyed; if it is burnt; if someone takes it by snatching it away; if someone takes it on trust (vissāsa); if the bhikkhu is insane; if he is the first offender (ādikammika).
