[12] Bhikkhus, I do not see even one other thing by which unarisen sensual desire (kāmacchanda) arises, or arisen sensual desire increases and comes to abundance, so much as this, bhikkhus: the sign of the beautiful (subhanimitta). Bhikkhus, for one who attends unwisely (ayoniso manasikaroti) to the sign of the beautiful, unarisen sensual desire arises, and arisen sensual desire increases and comes to abundance.
