Ekanibāta

Suttapiṭaka · Aṅguttaranikāya · Ekakanipāta · Dukanipāta · Tikanipāta · Vol. 20 · Section 73

[73] Bhikkhus, I do not see even one other thing on account of which unarisen unwholesome states (akusalā dhammā) arise, or arisen wholesome states (kusalā dhammā) decline, so much as this, bhikkhus: the pursuit (anuyoga) of unwholesome states and the non-pursuit of wholesome states. Through the pursuit of unwholesome states, bhikkhus, and through the non-pursuit of wholesome states, unarisen unwholesome states arise, and arisen wholesome states decline.
