[401] Bhikkhus, there are these two kinds of veneration (pūjā). What two? Veneration with material things (āmisapūjā) and veneration with the Dhamma (dhammapūjā). These, bhikkhus, are the two kinds of veneration. Of these two kinds of veneration, bhikkhus, this is the foremost, namely, veneration with the Dhamma.
