[400] [154] Bhikkhus, there are these two searches (pariyeṭṭhi). What two? The search for material things (āmisapariyeṭṭhi) and the search for the Dhamma (dhammapariyeṭṭhi). These, bhikkhus, are the two searches. Of these two searches, bhikkhus, this is the foremost: the search for the Dhamma. [Footnote #1: The European (PTS) edition reads "terasamo" ("thirteenth").]
