[81] Bhikkhus, an elder bhikkhu possessed of five qualities is neither dear nor agreeable to his fellows in the holy life (sabrahmacārī), nor respected, nor esteemed by them. Which five? He is inflamed by what incites lust (rajanīye rajjati); he is hostile toward what incites hatred; he is deluded by what incites delusion; he is angered by what incites anger; he is intoxicated by what incites intoxication. Bhikkhus, an elder bhikkhu possessed of these five qualities is neither dear nor agreeable to his fellows in the holy life, nor respected, nor esteemed by them.
