[82] Bhikkhus, possessed of five qualities, an elder bhikkhu is not dear to his fellows in the holy life (sabrahmacārī), not pleasing to them, not respected, and not esteemed. Of which five? He is not devoid of lust; he is not devoid of hatred; he is not devoid of delusion; he is a denigrator (makkhī); and he is domineering (paḷāsī). Possessed of these five qualities, bhikkhus, an elder bhikkhu is not dear to his fellows in the holy life, not pleasing to them, not respected, and not esteemed.
