[178] "Bhikkhus, I shall teach you the noble path (ariya magga) and the ignoble path. Listen to that. … And what, bhikkhus, is the ignoble path? The destruction of life (pāṇātipāta) … wrong view (micchādiṭṭhi): this, bhikkhus, is called the ignoble path. And what, bhikkhus, is the noble path? Abstinence from the destruction of life … right view (sammādiṭṭhi): this, bhikkhus, is called the noble path."
