[179] "Bhikkhus, I will teach you the dark path (kaṇha magga) and the bright path (sukka magga). Listen to that … And what, bhikkhus, is the dark path? The destruction of life (pāṇātipāta) … wrong view (micchādiṭṭhi) — this, bhikkhus, is called the dark path. And what, bhikkhus, is the bright path? Abstention (veramaṇī) from the destruction of life … right view (sammādiṭṭhi) — this, bhikkhus, is called the bright path."
