[23] **"This one too"** is said with reference to the previous ones. **"Is pārājikā"**: just as a thick stone, once broken in two, cannot be joined back together, even so a bhikkhunī who, being admonished up to the third time, does not relinquish, is not an ascetic (assamaṇī), not a daughter of the Sakyan (asakyadhītā); therefore it is said, "she is pārājikā (defeated)."
**"Not in communion"**: communion (saṃvāsa) means a single legal act, a single recitation, the sameness of training — this is called communion. That [communion] does not exist together with her; therefore it is said, "not in communion."
