[293] **"Whatever…"** means: whoever, of whatever sort … **"Bhikkhunī"** means: … this is the bhikkhunī intended in this sense. **"Having kept the rains"** means: having kept either the earlier three months or the later three months [of the rains residence]. [Thinking,] "I shall not set out on a journey (cārikā) of at the very least six or five yojanas" — at the mere laying down of that undertaking, there is an offence of pācittiya. [Non-offence Clause (Anāpattivāra)]
