[315] "Whatever" (yā pana) means: whoever, of whatever sort … . "Bhikkhunī" means: … this is the bhikkhunī intended in this sense. "Communal robe-cloth (āvasathacīvara)" means: cloth that has been given with the words, "Let menstruating bhikkhunīs use it." "Should use it without relinquishing it" means: having used it for two or three nights and washed it on the fourth day, she then uses it without relinquishing it to a bhikkhunī, a trainee nun (sikkhamānā), or a female novice (sāmaṇerī): there is an offense of pācittiya.
