[33] **"Entailing an offense at the first act" (paṭhamāpattika)** means: she falls into the offense together with the very transgression of the act, without any formal admonition (samanubhāsanā).
**"Entailing sending away" (nissāraṇīya)** means: she is sent away from the Saṅgha.
**"Saṅghādisesa"** means: the Saṅgha alone gives the mānatta penance for that offense, sends her back to the beginning, and rehabilitates her — not a group of several bhikkhunīs, not a single bhikkhunī; therefore it is called "saṅghādisesa." It is the naming, the designation, of that very class of offense; for that reason too it is called "saṅghādisesa."
