[343] "Whatever" (yā pana): whoever, of whatever sort … "Bhikkhunī": … this is the bhikkhunī intended in this sense.
"Invited" (nimantitā) means: invited with any one of the five foods.
"Having refused (further food)" (pavāritā) means: a seat is evident, food is evident, one standing within arm's reach offers it, and a refusal is evident.
"Solid food" (khādanīya) means: excepting the five foods, conjey (yāgu), what may be consumed within a watch (yāmakālika), what may be consumed within seven days (sattāhakālika), and what may be consumed for as long as life lasts (yāvajīvika), the remainder is called solid food.
"Soft food" (bhojanīya) means the five foods: boiled rice, junket, barley-meal, fish, and meat.
If she accepts it, thinking, "I shall chew it, I shall eat it," there is an offence of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa). For every mouthful swallowed, there is an offence entailing expiation (pācittiya).
