Mahāvagga

Suttapiṭaka · Khuddakanikāya · Paṭisambhidāmagga · Vol. 31 · Section 189

[189] Knowledges (ñāṇa) in the five dhammas, knowledges in the five meanings (attha), knowledges in the ten language expressions (nirutti); knowledges in dhammas are one thing, knowledges in meanings are another, knowledges in language expressions are another. By whatever knowledge these diverse knowledges are known, by that very knowledge these diverse knowledges are penetrated. Therefore it is said: wisdom in the diversity of ready wit is the knowledge of the analytic insight of ready wit (paṭibhāṇa-paṭisambhidā).
