Mahāvagga

Suttapiṭaka · Khuddakanikāya · Paṭisambhidāmagga · Vol. 31 · Section 190

[190] The power of faith (saddhābala) is a dhamma; the power of energy (vīriyabala) is a dhamma; the power of mindfulness (satibala) is a dhamma; the power of concentration (samādhibala) is a dhamma; the power of wisdom (paññābala) is a dhamma. The power of faith is one dhamma; the power of energy is another dhamma; the power of mindfulness is another dhamma; the power of concentration is another dhamma; the power of wisdom is another dhamma. By whatever knowledge (ñāṇa) these diverse dhammas are known, by that very knowledge these diverse dhammas are penetrated. Therefore it is said: wisdom in the diversity of dhammas is the knowledge of the discrimination of dhammas (dhammapaṭisambhidā).
