[198] Right view (sammādiṭṭhi) is a dhamma; right thought (sammāsaṅkappa) is a dhamma; right speech (sammāvācā) is a dhamma; right action (sammākammanta) is a dhamma; right livelihood (sammā-ājīva) is a dhamma; right effort (sammāvāyāma) is a dhamma; right mindfulness (sammāsati) is a dhamma; right concentration (sammāsamādhi) is a dhamma. Right view is one dhamma; right thought is another dhamma; right speech is another dhamma; right action is another dhamma; right livelihood is another dhamma; right effort is another dhamma; right mindfulness is another dhamma; right concentration is another dhamma. By whatever knowledge (ñāṇa) these diverse dhammas are known, by that very knowledge these diverse dhammas are penetrated. Therefore it is said: wisdom (paññā) in the diversity of dhammas is the knowledge of the discrimination of dhammas (dhamma-paṭisambhidā).
