Suññatavāra

[162] Which phenomena (dhammā) are wholesome? On the occasion (samaya) when one develops the path (magga) for rebirth in the form realm (rūpūpapatti), and, quite secluded from sensual pleasures, … enters and dwells in the first jhāna — of painful progress and sluggish direct knowledge (dukkhāpaṭipadā dandhābhiññā), with the earth kasiṇa (paṭhavīkasiṇa) — on that occasion there is contact (phassa) … there is non-distraction (avikkhepa) … These phenomena are wholesome.
