[188] Which phenomena (dhammā) are wholesome (kusala)? On the occasion when one develops the path for rebirth in the form realm (rūpūpapatti), and — not percipient of form internally (arūpasaññī) — sees forms externally: blue, blue in color, blue in appearance, with blue luminosity; [thinking:] 'Having mastered them, I know, I see'; and, quite secluded from sensual pleasures (kāma), … enters and dwells in the first jhāna — on that occasion there is contact (phassa) … there is non-distraction (avikkhepa) … These phenomena are wholesome.
