[165] Which phenomena (dhammā) are wholesome (kusala)?
On the occasion (samaya) when one develops the path (magga) for rebirth in the form sphere (rūpūpapatti) — quite secluded from sensual pleasures … he enters upon and dwells in the first jhāna, with pleasant practice (sukhā-paṭipadā) and quick direct knowledge (khippābhiññā), on the earth kasiṇa (paṭhavī-kasiṇa) — on that occasion there is contact (phassa) … there is non-distraction (avikkhepa) …
These phenomena are wholesome.
