[19] What, on that occasion, is perception (saññā)? The perception, the perceiving, the state of having perceived, which on that occasion is born of contact with the appropriate mind-consciousness element (tajjā-manoviññāṇadhātu-samphassajā) — this, on that occasion, is perception.
