[192] Which phenomena (dhammā) are wholesome?
On the occasion when one develops the path (magga) for rebirth in the formless (arūpūpapatti), and — with the complete transcending of perceptions of form (rūpa-saññā), with the passing away of perceptions of sensory impact (paṭigha-saññā), with non-attention to perceptions of diversity (nānatta-saññā) — with the abandoning of pleasure … enters upon and dwells in the fourth jhāna accompanied by the perception of the sphere of infinity of space (ākāsānañcāyatana-saññā), accompanied by equanimity (upekkhā): on that occasion there is contact (phassa) … there is non-distraction (avikkhepa) …
