Suññatavāra

[208] What on that occasion is the energy faculty (vīriyindriya)? That which on that occasion is the mental arousing of energy (vīriyārambha): striving, exertion, endeavor, effort, zeal, perseverance, vigor, steadfastness, the state of unfaltering exertion, the state of not relinquishing desire (chanda), the state of not laying down the task, the firm grasp of the task; energy, the energy faculty, the power of energy, Right Effort (sammāvāyāma), the energy factor of awakening (vīriya-sambojjhaṅga), a path factor, included in the path — this on that occasion is the energy faculty.
