[411] Which, on that occasion, is the life faculty (jīvitindriya)? That which is the life-span (āyu) of those immaterial phenomena (dhammā) — their persistence, going on, being kept going, proceeding, carrying on, preservation — life, the faculty that is life: this, on that occasion, is the life faculty.
