That which is the speech, voice, verbal expression, utterance, sound, making of sound, speech, articulation of speech (vacībheda) of one whose mind (citta) is wholesome (kusala), or whose mind is unwholesome (akusala), or whose mind is indeterminate (abyākata) — this is called speech; that which, by means of that speech, is the intimation, the making known, the state of having been made known — this is that form that is verbal intimation.
