[636] Which form (rūpa) is derived (upādā) and impinging (sappaṭigha)? The eye sense base (cakkhāyatana) … the taste sense base (rasāyatana) — this is the form that is derived and impinging. Which form is derived and non-impinging (appaṭigha)? The femininity faculty (itthindriya) … edible food (kabaḷiṅkāra āhāra) — this is the form that is derived and non-impinging. Which form is not derived (no-upādā) and impinging? The tangible sense base (phoṭṭhabbāyatana) — this is the form that is not derived and impinging. Which form is not derived and non-impinging? The water element (āpodhātu) — this is the form that is not derived and non-impinging.
