[827] Which phenomena (dhammā) are accompanied by equanimity (upekkhāsahagata)? On the plane (bhūmi) of equanimity (upekkhā) — whether of the sense sphere (kāmāvacara), of the form sphere (rūpāvacara), of the formless sphere (arūpāvacara), or unincluded (apariyāpanna) — setting aside equanimity, the aggregate of perception (saññākkhandha), the aggregate of volitional formations (saṅkhārakkhandha), and the aggregate of consciousness (viññāṇakkhandha) associated with it (taṃsampayutta): these phenomena are accompanied by equanimity.
Which phenomena are not accompanied by equanimity? On what is not the plane of equanimity — whether of the sense sphere, of the form sphere, of the formless sphere, or unincluded — the aggregate of feeling (vedanākkhandha) … the aggregate of consciousness; and equanimity, and all form (rūpa), and the unconditioned element (asaṅkhatā dhātu): these phenomena are not accompanied by equanimity.
