[514] "Success (iddhi)" means: that which is the success, full success, succeeding, fully succeeding, gain, obtainment, reaching, full reaching, touching, realization, attainment of those phenomena (dhammā).
"Basis for success (iddhipāda)" means: of one so become (tathābhūta), the aggregate (khandha) of feeling (vedanā), the aggregate of perception (saññā), the aggregate of volitional formations (saṅkhārā), the aggregate of consciousness (viññāṇa).
"Develops the basis for success" means: he cultivates, develops, makes much of those phenomena; therefore it is said, "develops the basis for success."
