[527] "Success (iddhi)": that which is the success, full success, succeeding, fully succeeding, gain, obtainment, attainment, full attainment, contacting, realization, acquisition of those phenomena (dhammā). "Basis for success (iddhipāda)": the contact (phassa) of one who has become thus, … the exertion, the non-distraction. "He develops the basis for success": he cultivates, develops, makes much of those phenomena; therefore it is said, "he develops the basis for success." [Developing the basis for success endowed with concentration (samādhi) due to investigation and volitional formations of striving (vīmaṃsā-samādhi-padhāna-saṅkhāra)]
